SILICA Alert - No Official Movement on NPRM

SILICA Alert - No Official Movement on NPRM

26 September 2013

On a conference call that took place Friday, August 23, OSHA Administrator David Michaels announced a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) addressing exposure to crystalline silica. However, in a move that is not very well understood, the Agency has yet to publish the NPRM in the Federal Register.

As a result, the public does not yet have final rule language and the expected 90-day comment period has not yet begun.
